Endless Trails works with horse lovers of all ages

From children's birthday parties to horse therapy at area nursing homes to riding lessons for kids and adults, Endless Trails Stables in North Fort Myers provides a range of equine-related services.

Lark Campisano, owner of Endless Trails, started the business in 2000 as a way to fill a niche in the area; providing horses for special events.

"Kids love horses and little kids love little horses. It's something different for when they have birthday parties," Campisano said. "For bigger kids, we have an Arabian that does tricks with the kids."

Today, Campisano has three miniature horses, a small black stallion that doesn't go out very much although it knows some tricks, and an Arabian that also does tricks and does go out regularly.

You can even hold a birthday party at the ranch.

In addition to regular riding lessons and parties, the stable offers trick training lessons for horses and provides riding lessons to children who have a disability. They will take the miniature horses to nursing homes such as The Crossing at Hancock Creek or anywhere there is a need as a way to provide therapy, such as Golisano Children's Hospital.

The stable also provides two-hour trail rides in the Florida Woodland and patriciates in official events. Recently, the horses were at Bell Tower for the annual lighting of the Christmas tree.

"We were in Labelle recently for a special education class and it was very rewarding to do that. The kids loved the horses and those with nervous problems seemed to settle down," Campisano said. "When they get on the horses and pet them, they seem to enjoy it."

Campisano said things are busy now with the holidays and season coming up. Typically, she goes to charity events several times a month. With that comes some perks for her and the horses.

"We enjoy it. We have to feed our horses and everybody enjoys them," Campisano said. "We even took one of the horses downtown recently and had it walk the streets. We had breakfast and she had nachos."
