Scorched earth politics

December 13, 2017

To the editor:

Somewhere during the late evening of the election in 2016 a wick was set alight and that small flame grew into a political firestorm. As it gained momentum it soon entered a "take no prisoner" stage. We now bear witness of the celebrating political liberals as they give full rein to their political intolerance to anything that opposes their convictions.

This frenzy of investigations into non events concerning the election of President Donald Trump is glued together by false documents and testimony. The Democrats are intoxicated by drinking from this poisoned chalice with the vision of overthrowing the duly elected administration. But this cup contains only the promise of victory from their tainted theological vine. Their actions border upon treason. This is a far cry of political discontent. This is political war vying for life outside of the lawful path dictated by the U.S. Constitution for elective office.

So, while the bands played our national anthem the discontented showed their lack of respect and knelt while the faithful stood and saluted the music that danced with their soul.
