Suncoast to hold spaghetti dinner

By Staff | Apr 13, 2016

Whether you prefer to dine-out, take-out or dine-in, the Suncoast Community Center will be able to accommodate your desire for Italian food while helping raise money to achieve the center’s numerous causes.

The center will hold its semi-annual spaghetti luncheon fundraiser event scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Jennifer Youngs, Community Support Services Resident Coordinator at Suncoast Estates and Goodwill of Southwest Florida, said this event has been going on for a while, several times a year, and has been a consistent way to bring more money into the community center’s coffers.

“All the proceeds will go back to the community center to better serve the community,” Youngs said. “My goal is to do this at least twice a year.”

The community center provides numerous services and programs to the Suncoast community, as well as puts on special events and for general upkeep of the building, Youngs said.

A donation of $6 per plate is requested, and the center will be offering dine in at its location at 2241 Case Lane, carry out, or free delivery.

The dinner includes spaghetti with meat sauce (vegetarian sauce available upon request), garlic bread, a small salad, dessert and a drink. Drinks will not be included for delivery dinners.

Suncoast will deliver within a 10-mile radius. However, exceptions will be made for organizations or businesses with large orders.

If you are unable to attend, you may make a monetary donation or you may donate your reservation to someone else less fortunate.

The event in the fall raised more than $300. Youngs said she hopes to double that this time around.

You may RSVP by phone, in person, or via email at 731-9838, jenniferyoungs@goodwillswfl.org
