* Lifeline Family Center benefit to feature Pam Tebow

Pam Tebow, mother of Heisman Trophy winner and New York Jets Quarterback Tim Tebow, will speak at the Lifeline Family Center Annual Benefit on March 21 at 6:30 pm at McGregor Baptist Church, 3750 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. She will relate her life experiences as a mother, a missionary and teacher. The fund raiser supports the mission of Lifeline Family Center; a privately funded organization dedicated to providing hope for young women in unplanned pregnancies by offering a two-year residential program in a safe and secure Christian home. The goal of Lifeline Family Center is to enable young women to redirect their lives by breaking the cycle of poverty, abuse and neglect.

Tickets are $70 per person or $400 for a table of eight. Sponsorships that include a VIP reception with Pam Tebow are available. For more information call Lifeline Family Center at (239)242-7238.

* Fort Myers Recreation Vehicle Show Jan. 24-27

The 28th annual Fort Myers Recreation Vehicle Show motors into the new year at the Lee Civic Center this Jan. 24-27. The 2show features 17 dealers from throughout Florida displaying a large selection of new 2013 recreation vehicles of all styles, brands and price ranges, including folding campers, gas and diesel motorhomes, travel trailers, toy haulers, 5th wheels, park models and van campers. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 with children under 16 free. Parking is free. * Wings of Freedom Tour

The Wings of Freedom Tour, featuring World War II vintage Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator and a North American P-51 Mustang, will visit Fort Myers at Page Field Airport from Jan. 28-30. Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out - $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12 is requested for access to up-close viewing and tours through the inside of the aircraft. World War II veterans can tour through the aircraft at no cost. For a fee, visitors may also experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually take a 30-minute flight aboard these rare aircraft. For information or reservations, call 800-568-8924.

* March in the Park garden show

Preparations are under way for the fifth annual "March in the Park," a plant and garden art sale, to be held on Saturday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to 3p.m., at Jaycee Park in Cape Coral.

"March in the Park" is a major fund raising event for the Garden Club of Cape Coral.

All proceeds from "March in the Park" help the Garden Club achieve its goals of awarding local high school students merit awards in horticulture, civic beautification, Habitat for Humanity, Wekiva Youth Camp sponsorships, and to promote civic awareness of environmental and conservation concerns.

Last year the Garden Club had more than 40 vendors in attendance selling all kinds of plants, from ground cover to palm trees, and garden art, from stepping stones to glass reflectors. Speakers, raffle drawings, food and music will be available thru out the day.

This year plans are under way for an even bigger event.

The Garden Club of Cape Coral meets the second Wednesday of each month, at 7 p.m., at the Epiphany Episcopal Church of Cape Coral, 2507 Del Prado Blvd.

All meetings are open to the public, come join us to learn about Florida gardening and promote fellowship among gardeners.

* Taste Of Pine Island

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island's Taste Of Pine Island will now feeature two full days of live music, fun, food and drink.

The event is set for Jan. 26 from 11 a.m -6 p.m. and Jan. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Phillips Park, 5675 Sesame Drive, Bokeelia

The vent will feature 100 arts and craft and 15 food vendors. Fresh sea food and more. Free Chowder/Chili cook-off contest "People's Choice". Famous Fish Drop Raffle with $2000 first place, $500 second and $250 third. Tickets $5 each or 5 for $20. Family event with Kids area. Live Music both days. Huge saving on two day passes. * Concerned Citizens of Bayshore Community

The Concerned Citizens of Bayshore Community meets most months, on the third Monday of the month, at the New Hope Christian Church on Tarpon Way, across from Lawhon's Store. The meetings start at 6:30 PM. The primary focus of the group is to preserve the rural quality of life for Bayshore residents. * Restful Yoga

The North Fort Myers Community Center will have YOGA classes on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 p.m .-7:15 p.m.

Yoga classes are $30 per month and space is limited. Terri Fields, yoga instructor, has been practicing yoga for 15 years. Yoga also improves circulation, increases energy, strengthens and tones the entire body. Yoga is great physical and mental exercise for all ages. * American Merchant Marine Veterans

The American Merchant Marine Veterans holds a luncheon meeting the third Tuesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. at Gulf Coast Village, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral. The luncheon is $13. For more information call 239-728-3169 or 239-543-4072.

* Korean War Veterans

Korean War Veterans luncheon is held every Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Invest in America's Veteran's Foundation Headquarters at 4820 Leonard St., Cape Coral. All other veterans are welcome to come. The luncheon is free; donations are greatly appreciated. For more information call 239-690-7715.

* U.S. Submarine Veterans

The monthly meetings of U.S. Submarine Veterans (BarbBase) are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Cape Coral Elks Lodge on S.E. 46th Lane, corner of S.E. 10th Place (Club Square), at 7 p.m.

* American Heart Association BLS HCP CPR Training

Stella Toomey of On the Spot CPR Training will be offering American Heart Association BLS HCP CPR training at the North Fort Myers Community Park Recreation Center at 2021 N. Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers. Preregistration is required and class size is limited.

Classes will be offered once a month on Saturday's from Nov. 3 through Sept. 7, 2013. BLS HCP CPR two-year certification training registration fee is $70. Heartsaver First AID two-year certification training registration fee is $60.
